Just a quick one this time since I'm in a bit of a rush. As Summer League draws to a close, most positions if not all are still to be decided. If we examine the league table we can spot two pairs that are tied on points, and battling for silverware. CHASE and LDW will play each other for the final time to decide the league winner. They are drawn on points, and CHASE have the advantage in goal difference, so only a win will do for LDW tonight. In a similar situation on the league table are Wreckin Boyz and DUMP, both tied on points, but the Boyz are ahead on goal difference by 5. They don't play each other tonight, but both compete against Frisbeezer. Frisbeezer have been steadily improving through their early matches. Feasably, if they can win both of their matches tonight, and by a great enough margin, they might leapfrog to third place. Otherwise if they can only beat one of these two teams, they might prove the deciders of the Division 2 cup! DUMP can only come from behind if they improve their goal difference over Wreckin Boyz by 5 points - a tall order for a match with a 15 point cap!
The Spirit Prize is not yet a done deal, so play with good spirit tonight, and the shiny, most Spirited trophy could be yours. I'll also be asking each team to put forward their MVP and Best Beginner. Each will receive a prize. The winner of the Fantasy Frisbee score prediction game will be revealed tonight as well.
I've got a good friend of mine to act as a dedicated photographer for the night, so expect some nice pictures to be put online shortly afterwards. I've organised to have a large group photo of everyone in the league, so please stick around for a couple of minutes after the prizes.
As a final note, a couple of the fixtures have been tweaked tonight to facilitate one of our smaller teams. This was done with the approval of all affected team captains. Division 2 teams are the only ones who are affected. Check the schedule, which has been updated to reflect this revision.
