This weekend Queens played at Whacking Day, a tournament held in Dublin City University. Queens headed down with 11 Ultimate Frisbee beginners, mostly new to the sport, to participate in Ireland’s biggest beginner tournament.

Queens 1 won the Plate, the second tier prize, taking the scalps of Rebel, Juice, Trinity, DCU and beating Wexford in the final. Queens2 didn’t fare so well, but they had a good time.

The Saturday night party was in Messrs Maguire in the City Centre where we dressed up as Pirates and had an entertaining evening full of swashbuckling and hornswaggling, before we battened down the hatches.
